ECA's Appalachian Headquarters Receives Platinum Construction Award

(Charleston, W.Va.) – Energy Corporation of America (ECA), in conjunction with Jarrett Construction, this month received the Platinum award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of West Virginia (ABCWV) for its new Appalachian Headquarters building.

According to the ABCWV, the annual Excellence in Construction Awards is a statewide competition that honors West Virginia’s most innovative and high-quality construction projects, safety programs, and diversity initiatives.

The Platinum award is the highest honor a project can receive and the award submission cited the building’s training facility, upscale office space, and elegant board room and meeting areas.

“This is the gold standard in construction and we are thrilled for our Appalachian Headquarters to receive this level of endorsement from such a well-respected industry group,” said ECA President Kyle Mork. “We frequently receive compliments, from employees and visitors alike, regarding both the beauty and functionality of the building. We had a great experience working with Jarrett and their partner companies and this award is evidence of their professional level of service and commitment to ensuring a job well done,” he said.

Terradon Corporation and Associated Architects were also involved in the design and construction of the building.

Located in NorthGate Business Park, the new 62,000-square-foot building houses about 115 employees and has a maximum capacity of around 200. The project broke ground in May 2013 and ECA moved into the building in October 2014.

ECA is a privately-held, family-operated, oil and natural gas company with more than a million acres throughout Appalachia. Headquartered in Denver, Colo., the company has about 300 employees and several other offices located throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Montana.
