Since its inception, ECA has been deeply committed to its employees and their families. The average ECA employee has worked for the company for more than 15 years, and through the use of profit sharing, a stock ownership program, a continuing education program, and its award-winning wellness program, ECA’s employees are encouraged to become financially, mentally, and physically healthy.
Through stock ownership opportunities, many of ECA’s employees have been invited to share in the company’s 28 percent annual growth rate over the past 30 years. Each employee is also encouraged to achieve a higher level of education, and will receive up to full reimbursement from the company for an educational degree he or she pursues.
The Company's wellness program is exceptional. In 2006, ECA’s goal of measurably increasing its employees’ overall health by 10 percent was not only met, but exceeded. The program is available for both employees, and their spouses, and has a yearly participation rate of up to 95 percent. In 2007 ECA was one of only 22 companies designated ‘Platinum’, the highest honor given out by the Wellness Council of America, and in 2008 ECA was awarded the ‘C. Everett Koop’ wellness award for its program.

ECA Internship Guidelines
For more than 25 years, ECA has provided its interns with hands-on experience and challenging and rewarding work opportunities. ECA employs a number of paid interns each summer in a variety of departments including:
- Petroleum Engineering (reservoir studies; production optimization; pipeline design; field training, including drilling, completions, and operations)
- Information Technology (GPS mapping)
- Infastructure (GPS database management)
- Land (lease/contract review, field work)
- Operations (painting, location maintenance, general "roustabout" work)
Our paid Internship Program not only provides practical work experience and valuable opportunities for our interns, but also allows us to evaluate them as potential employees. Many of ECA’s interns have been hired for full-time positions and have gone on to become managers and high level executives, both within ECA and the industry at large.
